There has been a lot of discussion in the news and in town meetings about the proposed extension of the Triangle Expressway in Southern Wake County. The almost 30 mile road would connect the HWY 55 Bypass near Apex with US 64/264 Bypass in Knightdale. While it is unclear where the road is going to go exactly, it is clear that the people want to be heard! There have been 3 meetings scheduled by the North Carolina Turnpike Authority to share information and encourage community input. There are 3 possible routes that the road could take, and many residents are worried that it will affect their property values.
As a resident of Holly Springs I will be keeping a close eye on the impact this extension might have on my neighborhood, as well as those around me. As a Realtor, I am committed to providing the most up-to-date information to my clients so that they can make informed decision about where they want to live. For more information regarding the Southeast Extension, please visit the North Carolina Turnpike Authority's website. There you will find maps, newsletters (one of which I received in the mail), and projected schedules.
